Carboplatin API is mainly an analog of cisplatin, but it also offers a significantly reduced toxicity profile.
Carboplatin API, on the other hand, delays DNA duplication by forming DNA-platinum adducts, leading to apoptosis in rapidly dividing cancer cells.

Lung cancer is also treated with Carboplatin, majorly in non-small cell lung cancer – NSCLC)
Carboplatin is useful for the treatment of cervical and endometrial cancers.
Helpful in Testicular cancer. Head and neck cancers can also be treated with Carboplatin
